Hello everyone

Just want to introduce ourselves to the Forum.

We are new to the site but have owned our Cali from new September 2013..... 2.0 tdi 140ps Candy White purchased from VW Preston Lancashire.

In that time we have travelled just over 20k miles visiting various locations around the uk including the Outer Hebrides although we also use it as our everyday vehicle averaging 41.0 mpg which we think is very good.

Love the Cali it's an amazing utility vehicle.

Hello and welcome :)

41mpg?

Don't your arms ache from all that pushing?

Welcome aboard. We picked ours up in Oct 2013, also Candy White, 140ps. Great vehicle. We love it and no doubt you will too.:thumb

Wow - 41mpg! You'll have to give us some driving tips :thumb

We had a great time in the Outer Hebrides a couple of years back, the beaches and scenery are fantastic. Needed windproof clothing though ...

Welcome to the forum!

Hi Steve, we got an Island Hopscotch and started off with the ferry to Barra and worked our way up. We only had a week and ran out of time halfway up Lewis/Harris and had to dash back to Tarbert for the ferry.

Because of this we made another trip the following year and this time went direct to Tarbert and spent the whole week on Lewis/Harris.

Never got bothered with midges on either trip, I think the wind blew them away ..

My favourite islands were Barra (camping on the beach airport!) and Harris; although not to detract from the others.

Welcome. We only joined last week but already the forum has been so helpful, far better than any of the booklets that come with the campervan!

Hello

Try to drive as much as possible in Cruise Control & hardly ever go above 65mph on the motorway.
