Hello from Romania with Cali Polyroof

Hello everybody!

After several years of owning a T4 multivan 94’, then a T4 Multivan 2002 which I transformed into a camper, it was time for something bigger.

So now I upgraded and the dream came true, with a T5 2008 Polyroof edition California. The car is 174bhp, was bought from Germany and had 1 owner for the last 15 year.

Sounds great nice the last owner kept it for a long time any pictures inside interested in the layout with the high top

Only have these ones now, will post some better ones soon. The bed retracts and lifts, and you get a full standing height all the time ( when not upstairs ofc).

This is something I’ve been thinking about for ages. Very attractive idea.
Sounds like it’s possible to retro fit!?

Yes, its called Polyroof and they are from Germany, but as I read on other forums the retro fit can get pretty expensive, somewhere around 10k euros, and the car has to be in their workshop for around 1 week.
They were factory installed by VW on the T5 and T5.1 but they are kinda rare as I realised when searching for this one.

I’ve only ever seen one Polyroof Cali ‘in real life’. It was a T6 Cali parked outside Campercentrum in Amersfoort, NL in July 2023. A rare find!
