We moved from a T6 ocean to the 680 due to needing a toilet (medical reasons) we thought it was too big to reach the bike parks and general Lake District roads.

the van is big however doesn’t feel big on the road, surprisingly nippy and nimble given the size.

inside has the usual high vw built quality and clever touches which is why we bought the van without seeing it.

slight issue of having dashboard space without the gloss doors as the Cali and the ridiculous concept of no built in blinds to the windscreen

Other than those two points which are liveable 10out of 10 van that is more practical than the ocean

Like you had a lovely 19 T6 great looking van, but not practical for us and our needs.
I also find it disappointing that there is no internal blind system, there should be on a van of this value.
Also the dash is still commercial van like, sure they could introduce a comfort dash as per the T6.

One of the handiest options I had was electric folding mirrors for the tight lanes.

Every van has its compromises the GC has probably less comforts than other vans, ie cookers, microwaves, full size fridges and so on.

But it does have the VW quality of finish and hopefully its residuals like the T6 will stay strong.
