Posted suspicions that the EGR Value/Cooler is failing on our T5.1, but that seems to be a different fault code (see attached).

Is this the same thing? The amber engine warning has been on the dash for months, but having received suggestions from this forum to give the engine some spirited driving after warm up, the light has gone off. We've since done some 20 minute over 2,500 rpm runs and high rev downshifts etc.

Do you think given the light has gone off that is sufficient to forget about it for now and just adapt how often we run the vehicle, or should still book it in for assessment?

Not had chance to plug in the fault code reader again yet to see if anything remains.

Glad to hear the suggestions have solved the issue.

Clear the fault codes and drive normally. (Spirited sometimes)

The orange / yellow light is a warning that something is a miss, intervention can stop it becoming a Red warning lamp.

In this case the EGR fault codes indicated were cleared by hard driving, the sensors now do not detect an issue, so the parameters are within normal range (light goes out)

The fault codes are stores for reference as to log history.
Clear those codes and see if they return , if they do not all good, if they do there may be a wider issue, but I suspect driving style / short journeys are to blame for the warning light.

If the Orange / yellow light comes back on you now know how to resolve the issue.

You can look up the codes here:
