First vehicle with a DPF so keen to look after it! Our Cali fortunately only ever gets used for holidays, so other than the very occasional shuffling on the drive, it always does long journeys, at least an hour and usually further. On tour it will sometimes do short hops if we are visiting somewhere close to where we're staying, but that gets balanced by longer journeys. On motorways I tend to stick the cruise on at 60/65mph - I just can't be bothered these days haring along in the outside lane, I'm supposed to be on holiday when I'm in the Cali so it's tunes on and relax! Does this sedate speed mean the DPF won't "auto clean" as the revs/load is quite low? The manual doesn't really say much on this apart from to clear a DPF clean light hold the revs above 1800rpm for 15 minutes or something.

Cheers

I have many cars with DPF’s and as long as you’re not doing only urban driving for very long periods ( I.e. months) you can completely forget about it. You’ll never know it was there.
