I should probably have posted this in the weird lockdown hobbies thread. What started as building a camper van for my kids, from the box of old Lego I found in my parent's loft, became a bit of an obsession. You can see some of my creations here: https://www.instagram.com/lego_camper_vans/.

Still trying to build all the different models, but now lockdown's eased I'm not sure it's socially acceptable.

Seriously love 'm! Can you still order your own set of bricks and thus create your own set/box of lego? Cause I'd love to get my hands on a Lego version of teh T5 California that looks a bit like my own. You're never to old for Lego right?

Brilliant, you should start a business. I'd definitely buy a T6 starlight blue Cali with roof bars and surfboard

Exactly. I mean this is all new to me. Obviously pretty soon I found I didn’t have all the bricks I needed. Turns out there’s a whole network of people selling individual Lego bricks.

You go to this site: https://rebrickable.com/users/mini_camper_vans/mocs/ where the instructions I’ve done are. They send a part list to a site called BrickLink or BrickOwl which automatically find all the bricks you need to create the relevant model from sellers all over the place. Then you get all these little packages of bricks in the post. It’s quite fun but it can get a bit pricey once you pay all the individual postage costs.

This came up on my recommended Instagram pages a couple of weeks ago, I checked out the instructions and the links, it's really good. I'm wondering if I can make a Red one like our van

That's a lovely thing!
