Is it just me or does everyone have a fight to get all the material out of the way in order to close the hatch when lowering the roof. I have the same problem opening, i have to lift the roof a couple of inches so the sliding hatch will move.
The Cali is new i must add. Just wondering if it will get easier with use.

We don’t have issues with this. If you pull it towards the back and keep it as flat as you can the hatch closes with not too much effort.

Only managed to use my roof twice as its just been torrential rain since - but you're right, it was a fight! I'm sure there's a knack to it, its just finding the best one!

I lower it to about 6" from closed, sort the canvas and then close the hatch and then lower the final 6"
Always make sure a window or door is open to let out all the air in the bellows.

Drop the roof to within a few inches then flatten the bellows by pulling lightly at both sides so that the zips don’t snag on the hatch.
Then drop the roof totally.
I sometimes lightly pull the fabric back during the final drop to keep it taut.
When closing the hatch keep the zips tucked in and whatever you do don’t snag the material :thumb

Is it still a thing to use a bungee on the bellows? I remember a lot of talk about that 5 years ago but haven’t seen much lately. Maybe the design has changed?

Certainly not necessary on a MY23 Ocean in my view.

Discussed in this recent-ish thread: my takeaway is 'not now needed'.
