Back handed compliment or just jealousy!

Decided to go for a walk round Loughrigg and Rydal Water this morning, I parked at Rydal Mount, nice overcast day and really enjoyed the walk - just put the kettle on and getting the muddy gear off, along came a few walkers. as they got level with the van and not aware of me inside I heard one of them say " must have too much effing money to afford one of those", I certainly wasn't offended, infact never stopped smiling since!

Had plenty of people ask under their breath - how much do they cost (esp last year when there was that competition on the telly so they really did know).

Most expensive "car" in the School car park.

I'm amazed at how many people have asked/guessed how much they cost.

It's often "blimey, I've heard they are about £40k"

Usually I say - "yeah, they are a bit pricey." If I'm feeling naughty I'll say " errr more like 50..."

Generally though the reactions are very positive. Anything from youngish fellow T5 owners (often tradesman) to older people that currently have or have had similar.

Had three "well dones" so far.
