Auto gearbox specialist needed

Hi,
Anyone know a garage that will do auto gearbox work in South Cumbria?

we have a type 5 Cali with auto gearbox. 64 plate. Had to call the AA out this afternoon as lost all power.
Really struggling to find a garage to look at it.
Any info gratefully received

What is the problem exactly?
Your California is 2014 so would have the DSG gearbox.

The AA man said it was gearbox and it makes sense from the way it was behaving. It is DSG and I have managed to find a specialist in Barrow. It wasn’t drivable and i needed to make sure the AA recovery could take it to somewhere that could work on the DSG gearbox! Will find out what the damage is tomorrow! It’s done 28k miles so wasn’t expecting gear box problems at that mileage!

It may not be a actual gearbox mechanical fault, it could just be a control unit or program issue, there lots going on just to make the DSG function correctly, Hope it’s a simple fix for you.

I'm hoping. It was so sudden. A warning came up about catalytic converter momentarily but then went! It is with a DSG specialist now so hoping he can sort it easily! Thanks for all the replies
