Alternative uses for VW CHILD SAFETY NET

I have not used the child safety with the kids yet (8 and 5) and not sure they need it. But I have found a few other uses for it. First when parked up as a barrier to keep them out of the cab. Second when camping over the steering wheel and dash to stop them fiddling with stuff. Third as a luggage to stop loose stuff falling out the tailgate.
