Like many others I love the versatility of the Beach. Using mine all year round I wanted to have something I could cook/wash with inside the van during the winter without having to go outside. But I wanted something small and light enough that I could remove whenever I didn't want it in the van or if I wanted to put it outside.

I've got seven barbecues including two Cadac Safari's (HP and LP) which get used for different applications and a cartridge stove thing as well. But having a small self contained unit was what I wanted this time.

I looked at buying the components and making my own. Whilst doing so, I wandered across this little beauty made by Conwy Campers. After a phone call to check the dimensions and weight, it seemed a bit daft to do my own thing when this was actually a decent price.

Single hob and sink unit is a CAN FL1323. Has 10l fresh water and 10l waste water containers inside with a microswitch in the tap and takes a 904/907 gas cylinder. Fully self contained and removable in seconds.

Height is 600mm
Width is 570mm on the base
Depth is 450mm
Weight is approx 11kg with no water or gas in it.

It wont be for everyone but it suits my requirement perfectly. Ordered it on Monday afternoon and it arrived on a pallet for 08:00 this morning. I'll get it fixed in for my run down to Stonehenge tomorrow night. Happy days!

That looks perfect just the job. Reminds of a similar unit in our T2 Westfalia.
Enjoy

What was the price please?

Also Have you removed the storage box to fit the fridge?

£500 delivered. They are meant to be a bit more but this was one that was already available and ready to go. I had looked at buying the sink/hob unit and water kit etc and it was going to cost £320. Plus the rest of the materials and then the most valuable commodity...my time and it was decision made

Mine is a three seater Beach so there isn't a storage box. The fridge sits there for now but I can move it around if/when I want to. Sometimes its in the van, sometimes the boot and sometimes its left at home.

Looks great- and good value too.

Do you have some pictures of the inside please?

Thanks

Not yet. I took that one when I took it off the pallet and put it in the van. I'll take some others later.

To be honest, there is nothing inside part from the water containers, the gas bottle and the related tubing and electrics. There other larger, heavier ones around with a shelf and another drawer but the whole point of this one, and what I wanted, was to have a simple, functional unit and nothing else to keep it portable/removable

Can you use the downstairs bed with the unit in place?

No idea but I suspect so. I don’t use the downstairs bed unless I sleep across the rear seat rather than put it down. The measurements are in the first post. Maybe see how they work out if you’ve got the bed laid out

That’s great does the lid of the storage box still work?

And is it fixed on ? Or just rests there?
