Hi folks
After various stages of depression to excitement it’s final here in the uk
But now the hard part
Wait another 8 weeks for 1st of March and 19 plate or pick up now
After waiting since June another 8 weeks done seem hard ?!?!?
 
Only you can decide that. If you have time to use it before March then it would be hard to resist getting it now. On the other hand if it’s just going to sit there then you might as well wait, I guess it will be worth a little more when you come to sell and you will have the satisfaction of having the latest Reg until September (I think).

Now. Get straight out. You have a heater. What you waiting for. I'm in the lakes now. 5th january and I'm camping in the lake district. Do it now. Did I say now? Anyway. Now. Did you buy it to sell or look at it? Or to use ASAP?, now. Do it now. There's 1 thing you can never ever extend. And that is your life by 6 months. So do it

If i order a car i want it in my hands asap and not sitting it on the dealers driveway...

As above, absolutely now. It won’t make the slightest bit of difference in depreciation if that why you’d think to hold back.
 
Would be a now for me. Get a few nights in it and you wont give a damn about the plate etc (chuck a fun personalized one on and the year on the plate is not an issue).

Also.....this is VW......who knows what might happen in the next 8 weeks that could once again stop new registrations. Your pride and joy could be sat at the dealers for a lot longer.
 
Hi Foo One,

We're awaiting confirmation of build & delivery to dealer, albeit expected in early Feb, but have already told them we don't want it until March 1st.

Personal choice obviously & we won't have to wait as long as you (maybe 3-4 weeks) but we wouldn't use the camping side of the Beach much at this time of year, so no hassle to wait until early spring.

Whichever you choose, enjoy :thumb

Stuff the plate - I'd have it now ... But then I've bought a personalized plate for my new Cali on order.
 
We ordered ours in September 18 and it has just arrived, we are collecting on the 25th on this month and not waiting until March. You may as well be enjoying it. Hope you have happy travels whenever you decide to collect.:)
 
Get it now. I collected jan 4th and ordered after you. Note if its tied to VW finance as mine was they will pass cost increases onto you if you dont collect within 2 weeks. I got a little longer as VW had messed me /us around on delivery dates.

Picked our Cali up on the 31st Dec......go for it life is too short.

So when people ask I always say I don't like white cars or black wheels....

BUT I have to say your new toy looks absolutely stunning!! Love the contrast of black awning rail as well :thumb

Was in there on Tuesday for an m.o.t & saw a new white one sitting there. Didn’t have the black wheels though. Did you instruct them to do the wheels or is this an option?
 
So I ordered 18/1/19
Will I get a build week through by day 18/?

Then delivery sometime in May?
(I ordered 199 ocean 4motion)

I’ve checked archived threads but every year seems different lead/build/delivery times.
