Your best lockdown moment

Joining this forum.
I have had hours of entertainment just following some of the (less technical) threads, as well as being informed about all things California.
I have a mental picture of the posters; of course, I have no idea if my picture corresponds with the actuality as the only photos that I have seen are Granny Jen and Amarillo.

Oh don't take any notice of my pics :shocked

I normally steal them off one of those dubious websites

Try sketching them and posting on here. Should be good fun

and another amazing lockdown moment .....

A proofreader has just returned my latest (and last) manuscript without half the worlds supply of red ink being pasted all over it,.

Either she has gone totally lockdown-loopy or my grammar's improved with lockdown :D

Now, time to trim my goatee .....

Well done :thumb

Just for a yardstick
Shakespeare wrote King Lear during Lockdown :D

I've only managed a few haircuts, you've trumped me.

My daughter cut mine, another 2 weeks and I reckon I could be seen without a hat.

Note for next time, make sure the plastic length gauge is securely fitted to clippers.
I understand your pain. I did most of mine myself but I asked Ben to help with the hard to reach places. They still look a notch or two shorter.

Best bit of lockdown has been sledging this week, and having a snowball fight with the kids!
Last summer we did enjoy spending a lot of time just parking the Cali at the harbour in our village, and using it as a base for the day. The boys would puddle about in rockpools or on kayaks and I could relax with a book or my knitting and a cup of tea! (we have avoided getting a tv for the van, as the whole idea was to tear the teenagers away from their screens for a bit).

It was pointed out to me this week that during Lockdown #2 leaving the home for recreation was permitted, but that is absent from the list of reasonable excuses during this lockdown

My reply was “why are park playgrounds open?”

I really don’t know if sledging or snowball fights are a reasonable excuse for leaving home, but like you, our boys have been enjoying both.

We’ve been given a pair of 50 year old sleds. They go like a bullet.

Buying and starting to learn Piano and not having to shake hands with people!

Doing the same in this lockdown.

Never thought I could learn music or play the piano and really enjoying it.

Gone for a piano like keyboard hooked up to an online teaching programme.

Some great lifetime deals.
