I'm sure I'm not alone in enjoying making things and this Christmas I've done very well with a number of model kits to make.
The 1st was a Steam Punk Kitchen Timer guaranteed to be heard all over the house.

Electronically timed which alarms by powering up an air compressor to sound an Air horn.
My next model is the Lego Technic Land Rover Defender. The book of plans runs to 489 pages.

There are 2 more models to follow, a scale model Steam Train and another Lego Technic kit, an 8 wheel drive All Terrain remote control vehicle. Happy Days.
So anyone else into this, during Lockdown.

The kitchen timer is hilarious :) and the Land Rover kit looks fantastic. No kits for me this Xmas but some lovely watercolours and paper. Time to get arty.

I guess it doesn't qualify as a model, but I saw this online and am trying my hand at making it.

I finished the Lego Defender model this evening. A significant way through the build my wife said “why didn’t you make it with the steering wheel on the correct side” I was about 10 hours in and realised it would need all the core of the car including the gearboxes to be mirrored so I have completed it as in the instructions.

I also got this for Xmas. Not started it but cant wait. Have ordered the lights for it.

Think i'll be sticking to instructions too! :)
