Seating capacity increase requires upgrades?

Hi,
I'm purchasing and installing a single seat into my 5 seater 2022 cali.
From an insurance standpoint do you have to uprate brakes and register this as being 'modified'?

It is a beach as you mention it is a 5 seat Cali. or are you making it 5 seats.
The Beach with a 3 seat bench should be registered as a 7 seater already.
The Cali Ocean with a 3rd rail should be 5 seater on the V5. so no, not modified if you add the extra seat.

No. Just make sure your V5c registration document has the correct number of seats. No cost change if required and notify Insurance if you have to change V5c.

We do not have a 5 seat in our Cali. We have the rails for a 5-seat. For my insurance, I told them when asked how many seats I said 4 so I would expect if adding a 5 seat I would need to tell them to be covered.

To be clear on this, the vehicle is a 2022 Beach Tour with a 3 seat bench installed.
I plan to purchase an additional single seat.
