Safelock

Hi
I am new on here and pleased to be on
Any on know to deactivate safelock on a 2013 california
I can't seem to get the light on switch on b pillar to turn yellow
Only got van on Tuesday but not had much time
Van was OK when picked up so I think I am missing something
Been out tonight could not get started at garage after putting diesel in
Eventually started then got home stopped, not even locked then same message on dash
Any help or points in right direction would be much appreciated

Safelock is VWs name for the Deadlocks which when the vehicle is locked means internal alarms activated as well as Deadlocks so vehicle cannot be oped from inside.
To deactivate all doors should be shut apart from drivers door. Press button on B pillar , shut door and lock with remote.
Will be reset to On when vehicle next started. That's on my T5.1

There is nothing about safe lock that would affect the van starting its just the difference between whether the doors can be opened from inside if the van is locked & turns on & off the alarm interior sensors.
It is usual to get a safe lock message on the dash about it, it is just a warning that the doors will be deadlocked.

OK
The van starts for couple seconds then cuts out so thought i was doing something wrong.
Once started drives fine.
Will try again in the morning if still happening will, be in touch with dealer.
Thanks for letting me know safelock should not stop engine starting.
