Hi all

Has anyone had experience of importing a LHD Cali (ours is 1991) to France? We are having a bit of a nightmare getting her Frenchified, she is original Westfalia fitted with two ring hob with meths burners and fridge and leisure heating, we are waiting on a rdv with Veritas to have her inspected re her safety of heating and cooking installations, are there any top tips to get her prepped for the inspection? We pay a cool 280€ for this inspection, so you see why we need to get it right! After that we have to pay more money to have her inspected by the DREAL where hopefully they will tell us she is a VW California Westfalia! Then we pay the final whack to get her carte Gris.

Only thing for sure is that the French are experts at complicated Officialdom.
