Fitted a new EGR and buggered the MAF!

Strange but true. Fitted a new EGR as the old one was a bit sootty and old.
As soon as I drove it it was obvious the MAF wasn’t working. Quick check to make sure I’d reconnected the harness, all good. VCDS confirmed it.
How odd that changing the EGR would cause this? I know they’re connected by the same hose but still seems odd.
Anyway, a new Bosch unit landed so I should be back in the game shortly.

Interesting. I’m not sure it’s adaptable? Purely pneumatic via solenoid. T4. It could be, the solenoid uses a PWM signal so perhaps?

I wrecked a MAF years ago on my T4 by being a bit rough handling the air filter assembly, I only dumped it down on the lawn a bit hard! You live and learn.
