hi, does anyone have a complete list of ALL bulb types for the 2015 Cali SE both interior and exterior please

I can't believe someone does not have a complete list surely ??

Maybe you can start posting here what you know already and then others can add...
It could be intrested to have such a list .

The problem is that there are very few EU Approved LED replacement Automotive bulbs and there are strict rules when it comes to the UK MOT. These rules may or may not be strictly adhered to by the MOT test station.

I appreciate that's the case for exterior bulbs, but not so for the interior ... I still think it would be very useful for a lot of members, just to have a complete list of all bulb types and locations. Then we know what we are looking for when it comes upgrades including the possibility of LED's

Reference interior lights. Converted all of mine to led's. BUT my lighting, warm white, daylight, ice cold light, wattage, etc, etc. is a personal choice so a list is not feasible. I did use "ultraleds" for most of the interior lamps and fittings.

Hi John, you misunderstand, just would like a list of the original bulb types, so we all know the fitment types... then as you have done, we can choose what type/colour LED to go for

Why not compile a list of your own then you could sell it to Vw because they seem incapable of providing one.

H4B - Foglight
H15 - DRL/Main Beam
H7 - Dipped Beam
501 W5W - Front Parking-Side Light
581 (PY21W) Bulbs - Front Indicator
501A ABD Prime 12V 5W WY5W - Front Side Indicator
380 Stop/Tail Bulb 12V 21/5W - Rear Stop Tail
382 Indicator Bulb 12V 21W - Rear Indicator / Reverse Light / Fog Light

I think this is correct - well it is for the front Headlight/Fog Lights and parking light as I have upgraded them except for the H15 as there is only 1 manufacturer and only 1 bulb on the market for this. 2014 MY

If no one else can help, then yes I will, but don't get my van for another 3 months, hence the question in the first place

Aren't the (caravan) interior ones already LED? I haven't opened them up to check, but they don't seem to get hot ....

Re the ones behind the California logos, if you disable the door switches on the centre interior light it also disables these, thus saving battery.

The one that annoys me is the one in the luggage compartment that comes on when the rear door is open; it's always obscured by stuff in the boot anyway. It also looks like a (prehistoric) filament bulb judging by the colour of it.

Easily changed if it is.

The Cali logo lights are a series of, I think, 5 incandescent filament bulbs in each fitment.
They come on with the interior lights when the doors are opened, but can be turned off by switching the interior lights off above the rear view mirror. I am not aware of a replacement LED version.

The boot light is also a filament bulb which is replaceable with a LED version. Given that it is often buried by luggage, I don't know if it is worth bothering with. Just remove the bulb!

I find that rear light useful when filling up with water if you have the tailgate up it lights up the fresh water tank through the filler hole
Allowing you to fill right to the top without it gushing out

I would be extremely surprised if you cannot replace the bulb :Nailbiting ... We just need to know the type

These are a small pea bulb which I haven't seen in a LED version. That is not to say there isn't one available. Well worth investigating I am sure.

The boot bulb is a 42mm festoon, loads of LED versions.

The license plates ones are a C5W fitment but the bulbs must be quite narrow to fit. Osram do these which fit perfectly -
OSRAM LEDriving LED Retrofit C5W interior lights 6498CW-01B Cool White 6000K

The vanity mirrors lights above the sun visors are also C5W fitment

The new t6 has an LED bendy lamp. I enquired at my garage and it's around £60 if you fit it yourself as a spare part. It is touch sensitive so comes on when you touch it.

Anyone know how easy it is to get at the DRL bulbs? I've got some upgrades but can't seem to release them. I don't want to break them so I'm currently being quite gentle.
